Properly maintained and well constructed pavement has a life-expectancy of 25 - 30 years. Improperly maintained, pavement can begin to fail within 12 months after installation. The economical benefits are only part of the reason to stay on top of your pavement maintenance program. The additional benefits of improving the appearance; creating a convenient, safe passage; and removing liabilities are major factors in maintaining any asphalt surface.
